Latest preparation developments:

The AELTC have firstly installed a new, larger capacity waste sewer, allowing all 108 toilets to be mains connected which with improved stewarding and signage should mean there is plenty of capacity for everyone.

Also, the Wimbledon Championships Community Panel (comprising local residents, Park users, Friends of Wimbledon Park, AELTC and Merton Council) collectively wished to ensure that Horse Close Wood, an important part of ancient woodland within Wimbledon Park, should be protected from anti-social behaviour and consequently temporary fencing will be installed around the whole area. This precautionary measure will go up as late as possible before the Queue officially opens and come down again as soon as possible at the end of The Championships, so that regular visitors can continue to enjoy this area of scientific and natural interest for as long as possible.
