CRIME PREVENTION ADVICE – UPDATED 02/08/2025

31 July 2025

This post will contain updated crime prevention advice.  Below you can read how to keep your kids safe online, prevent theft from your motor vehicles as well as burglary.

The Southfields Grid Residents’ Association would recommend you sign up to ‘Met Engage’ – a new platform through which we can get to know our local officers, help shape how they police our local area, and have direct access to key information and advice.

This platform is not just for the Met Police to tell us what they’re doing in our area; it’s an opportunity for us to tell them what’s concerning us most so they can take action on the things that truly matter. By signing up, Met Engage will send emails directly into your inbox.  It easy to use and helpfully and informative.  To sign up, please press this link.

Please note ‘Met Engage’ is not a crime-reporting platform. If you wish to report a crime you can call 101 or make a  report via the crime section of the Met website. If it is an emergency, dial 999.

The crime prevention advice below is from the Met Police via ‘Met Engage’
