Message from Simon Wright (Save Wimbledon Park) to SGRA members.  How to make a donation to support SWP’s campaign to stop AELTC’s proposed developments.

Southfields Grid Residents' Association

‘Dear member of the SGRA

As you know, I am very involved with Save Wimbledon Park – the campaign to stop the AELTC’s proposed development of an industrial tennis complex.

We are now moving into the next phase of our campaign with two upcoming events – 26 March in Wimbledon and 31 March in Southfields (for full details click here) and also have just launched a crowdfunding website.

SWP would be delighted if you would consider making a donation on this site.  SWP are using a platform called CrowdJustice which is a specific fundraising site for legal cases.  Funds raised on this platform are transferred directly to lawyers Russell-Cooke.

Although Judicial Review costs are expected to be approximately £200,000, the initial target on the website is £50,000.  This amount needs to be raised through CrowdJustice within 30 days or no funds will be taken and the campaign will end.   Once this amount has been raised, SWP will then continue the campaign and fundraising efforts.

Please opt in to receive updates from the website as, in order to reach as broad an audience as possible, SWP will be posting update bulletins on this site.

Note that when donating, CrowdJustice will also ask you for a tip; they are already charging SWP a small percentage for using the platform so please do not feel obligated to tip them further.

Thank you in advance for your support.  SWP hopes to see you at one of their upcoming events  on 26 and 31 March.

Many thanks

Simon Wright’
