The Southfields Grid Residents’ Association, St Barnabas Church and the “Grid Mummies” are working together as the Southfields Grid Alliance to provide assistance for anyone on the Grid who needs someone to turn to during the pandemic. Our three organisations are sharing our long experience, local knowledge and expertise. Local and trusted representatives are on hand if needed to do anything required for the elderly, vulnerable or self-isolating:
- Running errands
- Doing the shopping
- Having a friendly chat by phone
- Dog walking
- Picking up prescriptions
If you need help please get in touch with the coordinator Rebecca Watts. She lives on the Grid and can be contacted anytime on 07734 818540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org She’s able to put anyone asking for help in touch with someone trusted, living on the Grid and who can offer immediate help.
Only people who are known and trusted by one or more of our three organisations are volunteers. Help provided will not require any of our volunteers to enter your home. It’s a truly safe and useful local service. We don’t replace anyone’s neighbours, family, local friends or the adult social of Wandsworth Council, and have the support of our local MP and our three local ward councillors.
We look forward to being of help, so don’t hesitate to ask.
